General terms

The marisiniseaview.gr website is owned and operated by the Marisini Sea View accommodation in Batsi, Andros. Accessing and using the website implies your unconditional acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Intellectual property

All content on the website (text, photographs, graphics, logos and the design) is the intellectual property of Marisini Sea View or its licensors and is protected by Greek and European law. Reproduction, copying, modification or republication, in whole or in part, without prior written permission is not allowed.

Availability & prices

Information about availability, accommodation types and prices is provided for information purposes and may change without notice. Submitting the availability form is a request, not a booking. No booking is final or binding until it has been confirmed in writing by the property.

External links

The website may contain links to third-party websites (for example the directions on Google Maps). Marisini Sea View does not control and is not responsible for the content, practices or privacy policies of third-party websites.

Limitation of liability

Every effort is made to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date. However, the website is provided as is, without warranty of completeness or freedom from errors. Marisini Sea View is not liable for any damage that may arise from use of the website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Greek law. Any dispute that may arise falls under the jurisdiction of the Greek courts.

Data controller

What data we collect

Through the availability form we collect only the data you provide yourself:

• full name
• email address
• phone (optional)
• room type
• check-in and check-out dates
• number of adults and children
• your message

For security and to prevent abuse, the notification email generated by the form also includes the IP address, the browser type (user agent) and the timestamp of the submission.

If you accept statistics cookies in the consent window, Google Analytics records details of your visit with a random identifier stored in a cookie: which pages you read, which country and approximate city you are in, what device and browser you use, where you came from, and whether you sent a request or tapped our phone number or email. It does not show us who you are and does not store your IP address. We also use Google Search Console, which shows us in aggregate which searches the website appears for and places no cookies on your device.

Purpose & legal basis

We process your data solely to respond to your availability or booking request and to contact you about your stay.

The legal basis for processing is the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation) and, where applicable, your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

We process the Google Analytics statistics only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006), to understand how the website is used and to improve it. You can withdraw your consent at any time from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page; withdrawal does not affect anything that happened before it.

To display the icons, your browser loads the Phosphor Icons library from public content delivery networks (unpkg.com, cdn.jsdelivr.net), which receive only the technical details of the connection, such as your IP address, and set no cookies. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the website (Article 6(1)(f)).

Recipients of the data

Your data is received by the ownership and staff of Marisini Sea View who handle requests. The message is delivered by email (SMTP), so the email/hosting provider acts as a processor on our behalf: Hypesquared, the website, hosting and email provider.

If you consent to statistics, Google Ireland Limited also receives the visit data, for Google Analytics, as processor.

We do not pass your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

International transfers

The form data does not leave the European Union. The map is an image from OpenStreetMap and the fonts load from our own server, so Google does not see your visit without your consent. If you accept statistics, Google Analytics data may also be processed on Google servers outside the European Union, including in the United States. This transfer relies on Google LLC’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Read more in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Retention period

We keep your request data for as long as needed to serve you and, after that, for a reasonable period as a record of our communication: up to 12 months after our last contact (or longer if a booking arises, for tax and accounting purposes). After this period the data is deleted. Google Analytics statistics are kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Your answer in the consent window stays in your browser for 12 months.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, such as sending over an encrypted connection (SMTP over TLS) and mechanisms that help prevent automated abusive submissions.

Minors

The form is not intended for children. If you are under 16, please do not send us personal data without the consent of your parents or guardians.

Changes to this policy

We may update these terms and this privacy policy. Any change is posted on this page with an updated date.
